Six Spot Burnet Moth

Conservation and Litter-Picking

Saturday 25 March 2023
10:00 to 12:00

The windy weather (plus the usual McDonalds and casual littering) means there is a general need for a site-wide sweep for litter. When that is done, we can either do further fine-plastics clearance along the Uxbridge Road boundaries, or areas alongside the path to David Lloyd, and finishing bramble clearance along the golf course ditch.
We also now have formal agreement to manage the vegetation on the west side of the David Lloyd pond - so if we have time...

Litter-picking, conservation work, nature and fresh air!

Spend as much, or as little time as you wish.

Everyone welcome, no commitments, no membership, no cost!

Details to be confirmed each week...

WHEN: 10am Saturday (most weeks)

WHERE: Meet at the goalpost, rear of David Lloyd.

Followed by (free!) tea/coffee and conversation at David Lloyd

WHO: Anyone and everyone. Please bring some protective gloves, sensible footwear, drinking water etc. and children must be accompanied.

WHAT: We provide the litter-pickers/bags, and bring as many tools as we can, but if you have your own secateurs, loppers, mattock or hedge trimmer (battery), please do bring them along.

Hope you can join us!
