Winter works - making great progress!

SATURDAY 13th Jan Working Group

 

This week (depending on numbers) we’ll be:

  • “Mosaic” grass cutting: Pushing on with the cut, rake and remove process to improve our precious “Lowland Acid Grassland” (LAG) habitat.

  • Bramble Reduction: Continuing to open up visibility along the Tennis Court Path.

  • Wildflower re-introductions: Broom - raised from seed, a couple more heathers… if we can get them to site.

  • Litter-picking: Of course, we’ll be keeping up with the litter.

     

WHEN: From 10am SATURDAY 13th JANUARY until around midday. Over to David Lloyd for free tea/coffee at around 12.

WHERE: Meet at the goal post, rear of David Lloyd as usual.  Map

WHO: Anyone and everyone is welcome. As always, please bring some protective gloves, sensible footwear, drinking water etc. and under 18s must be accompanied.

WHAT: We provide litter-pickers/bags as always, and as many tools as fit in the barrow, but if you have secateurs, rake, strimmer or hedge-trimmer (battery), please do bring them along.
