Six Spot Burnet Moth

Conservation Volunteering and Litter-Picking

Saturday 16 November 2024
10:00 to 12:00

Our fabulous Volunteer Group meet every Saturday between 10am and 12 midday to clear litter, cut back vegetation from paths, manage and restore the wonderful grassland, shrubland and woodland habitats.

We also look after permanent and seasonal ponds, and survey the flora, fungi and fauna, which include Red-Listed wildflowers and fungi, birds of prey, lizards, dragonflies, nationally rare water beetles and over 20 species of butterfly.

Since 2021 our Volunteers have transformed Hampton Heath from forgotten and litter-strewn wasteland to a 5 hectare, nature-led green space with over 100 subscribers to our newsletter from Hampton, Hanworth, Hampton Hill, West Twickenham and Fulwell.

Meet at the entrance foyer of David Lloyd, Hampton, with free tea / coffee / cold drinks and a chat afterwards.

Do as much, or as little, as you wish, and any weekend you choose (weather permitting).

If you'd like more information, please email us, or subscribe to our email newsletter
