This week, we’re going to carry on with cutting back the spreading brambles, and the inevitable litter clearing.
After a recent assault not far away, we're focusing on entrances, paths and forward visbility again this week.
WHEN: 10am Saturday 30th April
WHERE: As usual, we’ll meet at the goalpost, back of David Lloyd, Hampton
WHO: Everyone, as always
As usual, please bring good footwear, good gloves. Children to be accompanied please, and we’re all volunteering “at our own risk”.
We’ll provide litter-pickers/bags, and it would be great if anyone can bring loppers, secateurs etc.
We also record the species on this fabulous acid/neutral grassland and scrub site.
Anyone can do this using the Inaturalist phone app or by uploading photos to Your Home · iNaturalist
We're approaching 200 different species for the SINC site, and the current project species list is here:
Hampton Heath / Twickenham Park SINC · iNaturalist
Records are then available for research and monitoring locally, nationally and internationally.
